1. Character Name and Job: Private Berry
2. Age: 18
3. Why do you want to become a GM?: 3. I am attending college full-time as a Computer Game Designer, so this is along the lines of what I will be doing in the future. I love gaining experience in aspects such as this, and I feel that I could benefit the server in many ways through my work and experience.
4. What languages do you speak? (languages which you can understand and can speak or write in. English is a must!): English, took 3 years of Mandarin but not fluent.
5. How long have you been playing Retribution Gaming?: Not particularly long, but have been in Xypher Nations and Verian Gaming for a long period of time.
6. How long do you usually stay online?: I can come on at least an hour a day, but typically much longer.
7. How often do you like to be serious?: I am a very very laid back guy, but I take GMing as a job and ensure it is always done to the best of my ability. All of my major events consist of me planning excessively before I actually execute the mission. Outside of missions I like to hang out on the deck and chat with my fellow players, occasionally passive RPing. I never troll or RDM or any major offense, generally maintaining order on the ship.
8. How familiar are you with the server? I know this map like the back of my hand, as well as a handful of of the players. I also spoke with Tex about the servers, and though we've never met before-hand, we've been on the same servers, just at different times.
9. Do you have any experience as a GM? (No need to mention server names): I have a ridiculous amount of experience as GMing, especially on Halo RP. Besides Gmod, I've also worked on different Halo-based stories, and am a proficient writer.
10. In your own words, what are the duties and responsibilities of a GM?: A GM, in my opinion, is just a Moderator who is tasked with the responsibility of also working to create events, situations, and RP scenarios to occupy the time of members of the server. Whether it's passive RP, active RP, any writing needed for events or even game balancing, it's the GM's job to work tirelessly and ensure that the server is generally enjoyable.
11. How fond are you with PAC3?: I have very little experience with it, so I don't actively use it within my events.
12. Give an event idea? (Short or long events):
The planet Leon-4 has just recently been assault by Covenant forces, and its location as the only habitable planet in the Leon system makes it strategically valuable to us, as our space-faring vessels use it to fuel transport further into the stars. As soon as the alarm was raised, we sent multiple UNSC Warships to engage the Covenant, and we have been tasked to land on the other side of the planet and extract as many individuals as possible before retreating under the cover of our allies.
PART A: Space
Our spaceship will exit slip-stream along with other UNSC Warships, and immediately we're greeted by a small fleet of Covenant Vessels, including multiple SDV Class Heavy Corvettes spearheaded by a Covenant Cruiser. Our ships engage, and we repel boarders until we can destroy 2 enemy Corvettes. Our main task will be to hold the....
1. Flight Deck (Till it is over-run)
2. Engine Room
3. Bridge
This phase of the even should be very chaotic as enemies flock from all over, and will be a test of the command and order of the Marines.
Part B: Ground
We send down troops to extract civilians. We start by moving to the Area of Operation using Warthogs, clearing out enemies from the town as we go. Once we arrive, we'll break enemy defense in the town and send down aircraft to begin extracting the civilians. The UNSC must hold the area as it's assaulted by progressively more and more difficult waves of Covenant. The defense will be seperated into a preperation phase, 3 waves, and an extraction phase.
Prep Phase: Marines will work to set up a meager defense while UNSC sets a flare to signal for Pelican extraction. Defense is organized and divided up, with the creation of a First, Secondary, and Final defensive positions. If the First defense were to fall (which it should), then command will order the UNSC to fall back to the next defensive position. At each Phase, just before starting a friendly Pelican will land and it is assumed that citizens are loading in, and the phase will end once the assault finishes and the Pelican takes off.
Phase 1: Initial assault, a meager attack of just a single Creche of Covenant forces. Should be simple.
Phase 2: Secondary assault, much larger than the last, multiple Creches of Covenant forces which should press the UNSC into falling back to secondary defensive position.
Phase 3: A Secondary objective is offered during preparation for the final assault, the assassination of a Sangheili Field Marshall. UNSC Command will need to decide whether to split up their forces to attempt to complete the secondary objective (depending on how well they did during Phase 2). If they choose to, they will have to take a Warthog far across the map during Phase 3 of the assault. The last attack is huge and challenging.
Final Extraction: Finally, an enemy Corvette flies overhead and begins pounding the defenses with both explosives and forces while everyone holds off for the last Pelican to pick up UNSC forces and finally escape the location.
